2008 Cherokee National Fly-In & Convention Keynote Speaker

(at Saturday evening Banquet)

Come to the banquet and hear the challenges of flying through, in and around hurricanes! Our speaker has done this not once but through 21 hurricanes!

Jim Morris is our speaker and he is going to share with us some of his experiences as a member of the Navy Hurricane Hunter Squadron.

Jim was born and raised in St. Louis and went to Southwest High School. After graduating from Northwestern University he went to Navy Flight School and the Hurricane Hunter Squadron. He then was an Airline Captain with Ozark Airlines and TWA and retired to Lake of the Ozarks in 1992.

He owns and flies a 1960 Beechcraft Travelair and received the
FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2006.
